• 30% Business Investment Tax Credit- Please visit the DSIRE site for more information on this program. This is a 30% tax credit based on the cost of the system minus any rebates. This tax credit can be taken as a Treasury Grant provided the project is underway within the calendar year of 2011.

• Accelerated Depreciation: The Federal Government allows for an accelerated 5 year depreciation of asset. For 2011 this will be eligible for 100% depreciation year 1.
• SREC Income- Solar Renewable Energy Certificates are units of power that your solar system generates over the course of a year. SRECs are sold by NJ system owners to parties within the state-mainly utilities. Renewable Energy Credits have no bearing on your business's energy consumption. This income is not the surplus power being sold back to the utility. These credits represent a separate income stream and thousands of dollars a year you can use to rapidly recoup your investment in solar technology.
• Power Avoidance Savings- Every solar system brings with it a decrease in the amount of electricity your business purchases from your utility. Due to net-metering laws you will receive full retail credit to your account for any surplus power generated during the day.
